Well, this is definitely my best drawing yet.  The hair is better than I've been able to ever draw before, but it could still use improvement.  It only took two days, which I think is pretty fast, so I should probably take things slower, except I don't really know what I should spend more time on, and how.

Also, this drawing was inspired by a similar one on artismygift.blogspot.com, which has amazing drawings. And that's the one I used as my reference.

Boromir

I did this pretty quickly and the shading isn't very good, but this drawing helped me to get a little better at drawing hair which I've never been able to do before. I'm happy that finally my portrait drawings are starting to look like the person I'm drawing.

Strider at the Prancing Pony

I made this one a while ago and it was my first somewhat decent face, which isn't saying much considering that the eyes are hidden. I'd like to redo this when I'm better though.

Floating cloth

This drawing was done fairly quickly. I'm not too happy with how it turned out, but it was something new for me because I used an actual object rather than a picture as my reference.

Eye

This drawing didn't take too long but I like how it turned out. It made it easier that I didn't have to worry about matching a particular shape because it was partly based on my eye, partly on a reference picture. I've drawn eyes in the past but never a full page drawing.

Hand

I've always found hands difficult to draw. The shading was hard on this one because of the position of the hand and I was afraid the crease lines wouldn't turn out right. I think this drawing turned out okay though.

An added challenge was that my bird kept trying to chew on my toes while I was drawing.

White Horse

I'm pretty sure this is my best drawing yet. It surprisingly didn't take that long. My favorite part was the shading on the body and two hind legs. I think the chest and head could have been done a little better though.
